Hallwood Farm is nestled on a South facing slope overlooking the unspoilt countryside on the edge of the thatched village of Petrockstow with its own friendly pub. This part of Devon is truly beautiful; gentle rolling hills, tree lined fields and ancient woodlands abound

The farm is approached along our park like ‘made up’ driveway bordered by water meadows with ancient oaks and a babbling stream. The Farmhouse, a traditional Devon Longhouse, is set amidst 90 acres of pasture and woodland where our guests are free to roam and explore at leisure.
The accommodation, for 2-10 people, is in a well appointed self contained wing of the large farmhouse which offers stunning views across green fields and woodland towards the distant moors.
This idyllic location is at the hub of some of The West Countrys best walking and cycling routes including The Tarka Trail, The Devon Coast to Coast, The Granite Way to name just a few. Both Exmoor and Dartmoor and the Coast are all within easy reach, also perfectly central for parties of birdwatchers.

Our farming activities work hand in hand with nature. To encourage biodiversity we create the perfect environment for beneficial insects which prey on those pests only usually killed with pesticides. As well as sheep, cattle and heritage breed pigs, we grow a range of vegetables that are supplied to local outlets thus reducing 'food miles' and maintaining freshness. Feel free to visit our Veg website Hallwoodfreshveg.co.uk Our shop on the farm is always stocked for the convenience of our holiday guests, or place an order which we will harvest fresh for you on arrival.
We are also members of LEAF (Linking Environment & Farming), a national organisation committed to the encouragement of environmentally friendly farming
